Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited Kosovo, 19-20 October 2018

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited Kosovo on 19-20 October 2018, following his visit to Albania.

Minister Çavuşoğlu met with First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Behgjet Pacolli.

At the meeting, the determination to fight against FETO-affiliated institutions that are active in Kosovo was emphasized.

Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that Turkey’s support to the friendly and brotherly people of Kosovo will always continue.

On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu was received by President Hashim Thaci.

Minister Çavuşoğlu also had a meeting with President of the Islamic Community of Kosovo and mufti Naim Ternava.

On October 20, Minister Çavuşoğlu was received by Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and Speaker of the Parliament Kadri Veseli.

Following the meetings, Minister Çavuşoğlu met with the Turkish community of Kosovo at the Turkish Consulate General in Prizren. Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that their efforts to protect Turkish heritage, and active participation in all fields of cultural, economic, and political life makes Kosovo stronger.

During his visit Minister Çavuşoğlu also visited Yaşar Paşa and Fatih Mosque and the Tomb of Sultan Murad in Prishtina, and Şadırvan Square, Sinan Paşa Mosque, Camp Sultan Murad and Mamusha in Prizren.
