Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu accompanied President Erdoğan who paid an official visit to Zambia on 28 July 2018.

President Erdoğan’s visit constituted the first presidential visit from Turkey to Zambia.

Following the official welcoming ceremony, President Erdoğan visited the Zambian presidential cemetery.

President Erdoğan and President Edgar Lungu of Zambia had a tete-a-tete meeting, which was followed by a meeting between delegations held at the Zambian State House.

During the visit, 12 agreements in various fields were signed between Turkey and Zambia.
