Turkey’s delegation headed by President Erdoğan continues its contacts in New York.

President Erdoğan addressed the UN General Assembly at its opening session.

WHO’s Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus presented an award for UN Non-Communicable Disease Prevention and Control Studies to President Erdoğan.

President Erdoğan held meetings with President Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique, President Borut Pahor of Slovenia, President Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela, President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic of Croatia, President Emmanuel Macron of France, Prime Minister Theresa May of the United Kingdom and Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras of Greece.

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu had lunch with the Foreign Ministers of the United Kingdom and Greece.

Minister Çavuşoğlu attended the side event entitled “The Sustainable Development Goals and the Private Sector” jointly hosted by Turkey, UNDP and Gates Foundation and also participated to the Transatlantic Foreign Ministers Dinner hosted by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
