Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu attended the 6th Meeting of Tatlıdil Forum, 24-26 March 2017

The sixth meeting of “Turkish-British Tatlıdil Forum” is being held in Antalya between 24-26 March 2017. Under the programme of the Forum, President Erdoğan, Prime Minister Yıldırım addressed the participants at two separate official dinners.

The Prince Andrew, Duke of York, Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Boris Johnson, and Minister for Europe and the Americas Alan Duncan were among the foreign guests of the Forum. In the margins of the forum, Minister Çavuşoğlu had a bilateral meetings with The Prince Andrew, Duke of York and his counterpart on bilateral and regional issues. Foreign Secretary Johnson was received by President Erdoğan and Prime Minister Yıldırım.

At the first panel discussion on March 25th, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu and Foreign Secretary Johnson discussed regional and world politics. In the other panel discussions Brexit, Energy Cooperation and 15 July Coup Attempt in Turkey, Middle East, and Defence & Cyber Security were elaborated in a comprehensive manner.

The “Tatlıdil Forum” is an unofficial platform established in 2011 to contribute to further enhancing bilateral relations in all areas through civil dialogue.

The Forum, co-chaired by Senior Advisor to the President Reha Denemeç and former Foreign Secretary Jack Straw, offers the opportunity to the representatives of business, academy, politics and media of the two countries to evaluate current bilateral and international issues in an informal setting.

Discussions made and the conclusions reached at the Forum provide the political circles of both countries with a guidance for areas of future cooperation.
