Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu attended the Fifth Meeting of the Turkey-Iran High Level Cooperation Council, hosted by President Erdoğan on 20 December 2018.

Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that Turkey’s deep-rooted relations with neighboring Iran continues gaining strength and stressed that Turkey and Iran maintain consultations and cooperation against challenges threatening both our region and states.

Following the meeting, Minister Çavuşoğlu signed the Protocol between the Republic of Turkey and Islamic Republic of Iran on Cooperation in the Fields of Media and Communication.
