Baseless Allegations in the Bulgarian Press No:235 - December 5, 2000

Lately, there have appeared some baseless allegations in the Bulgarian press claiming that Turkish diplomats working at the Turkish missions in this country have been involved in "corrupted issuance of visas". The recent example of these allegations is the one that was made in an interview published in the "Sega" newspaper on 30 November 2000.

These hideous smears about the Turkish diplomats who carry out their duties with a conscientious attitude and within the framework of the international law are totally untrue. These allegations, the intention of which is well known by us, are deliberately dispersed.
