We have learned with regret that a significant number of people lost their lives and many were wounded in a bomb attack which targeted a military hospital in Mozdok, the city of the Republic of North Ossetia of the Russian Federation on the 1st of August.

As we have stated on every occasion, Turkey believes that resorting to terror could not be a remedy to any problem and thus condemns any kind of terror act whomever its perpetrator and whatever its cause might be.

We believe that the terrorist acts should not be allowed to undermine the ongoing political process in finding a lasting solution to the Chechen problem. On this occasion, we extend our condolences to the families of the victims and wish a rapid recovery to the wounded.
