As a member of G-20, Indonesia has become the 1st largest economy in Southeast Asia and the 16th largest economy in the world with a population of 270 million and a national income of 1.32 trillion USD as of 2021.

The eighth Türkiye-Indonesia Joint Economic Commission (JEC) Meeting was held on 11-12 October 2017 in Jakarta.

Türkiye’s export to Indonesia reached 410 million USD, while the imports from Indonesia was realized as 2.7 billion USD in 2022. Indonesia experienced a trade surplus of 1,47 billion USD with Türkiye in -2023.

Currently, 19 Indonesian companies operate in Türkiye, while 80 Turkish companies operate in Indonesia.
