The Toksotis-Vergina military exercise, carried out within the framework of the Greek-Greek Cypriot Joint Military Doctrine, is being held in South Cyprus with the participation of the Greek Cypriot National Guard and the Greek armed forces. During this exercise offensive scenarios are being staged.

The Greek-Greek Cypriot joint military exercise is assessed as an activity that increases tension and aims at upsetting the stability in the region.

It is obvious that the exercise will not be a positive contribution to the third round of the proximity talks, planned to start in July.
