The 13th Session of the Turkish-German Cooperation Council (TAİK) will be held between the delegations under the chairmanships of Ambassador Ertuğrul Apakan and Mr. Reinhard Silberberg, Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries, on 16 April 2007 in Hannover, Germany.
This year, TAİK meetings will take place concurrently with the Hannover Fair, in which Turkey participates as the “Partner Country”. The Prime Minister of Turkey and the Chancellor of Germany will inaugurate the fair together on 15 April 2007.
High level representatives of the relevant Ministries/institutions, private sector and professional associations will participate in TAİK meetings, where discussions will be held in four working groups, namely “Industry and Investment”, “Trade”, “Tourism” and “Science, Research and Technology”.
Simultaneously with the working group meetings, bilateral political consultations will be held under the chairmanships of the Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries. These consultations will focus on bilateral relations, Turkey-EU relations and other current regional and international issues.
