Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Dr. Richard Sezibera, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda, on 24 June 2019.

Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that we were determined to improve cooperation with Rwanda in all areas ranging from trade to education and from tourism to defense.

After the meetings, the two Ministers signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Diplomatic Training and the Exchange of Information and Documentation and the Agreement Concerning Visa Waiver for Holders of Diplomatic, Service and Special Passsports.

The two Ministers also held a joint press conference.

On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu also met with Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Iraq.

At the meeting the reconstruction of Iraq was discussed and Minister Çavuşoğlu stressed Turkey’s support for pending issues, especially in Kirkuk.
