5th Meeting of Turkey-Pakistan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, co-chaired by Prime Minister Yıldırım and Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, took place in Ankara on 23 February 2017.

On the margins of the Cooperation Council, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Tariq Fatemi, Special Assistant to Prime Minister of Pakistan on Foreign Affairs and exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional cooperation.

Prime Minister Yıldırım and Pakistani Prime Minister Sharif had a bilateral meeting and then co-chaired the 5th Turkey-Pakistan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, during which comprehensive discussions on bilateral and regional issues were held. After the joint press conference, various agreements were signed between Turkey and Pakistan.
