Joint Statement Following the Joint Action Plan Meeting Between the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye and the Hellenic Republic, 26 April 2024

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, Ambassador Burak Akçapar, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, Konstantinos Fragkogiannis, met in İstanbul on 26 April 2024 for the 6th round of discussions on the Joint Action Plan within the scope of the Positive Agenda between the two countries.

During the meeting, a detailed review was made of the numerous items on the Positive Agenda List in the fields of trade, economy, transport, education, technology, environment and health as well as societal relations. It was noted that many items have been successfully concluded. Satisfactory progress has been achieved on several other items on the list.

In view of the significant advances made to date in this active and ongoing process, the two sides have agreed to explore additional items of cooperation in the context of the Positive Agenda.

The two sides reaffirmed their common goal to provide, within the framework of the Joint Action Plan, concrete deliverables for the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Mitsotakis to Türkiye in May. ‎
