Relations between Türkiye and Vanuatu

Diplomatic relations between Türkiye and Vanuatu were established in 14 July 1995.

Turkish Embassy in Canberra is accredited to Vanuatu. Vanuatu has an Honorary Consulate in Istanbul.

No bilateral high-level visit between Türkiye and Vanuatu has been conducted so far.

On the other hand, former Foreign Minister of Vanuatu, Georges Welles, attended the Türkiye-Pacific Foreign Ministers meeting which was held in Istanbul on 9-11 April 2008.

Former Prime Minister of Vanuatu, Serge Vohor, attended the UN Conference on Least Developed Countries which was held in Istanbul, on 9-13 May 2011.

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Sato Kilman attended Türkiye- Pacific Small Island Developing States (PSIDS) Foreign Ministerial Meeting in Istanbul on 7-8 June 2014.

In 2025, Turkish exports to Vanuatu were valued at 7 million USD. Main Turkish exports were refined petroleum and food while imports were motor vehicle parts.

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) donated 145,000 USD for procurement of an X-Ray device to assist with enhancing the bio-security practices in Vanuatu.

Türkiye provided 250,000 USD worth of assistance to Vanuatu in response to the Cyclone Pam that hit the country in 2015.

Turkish Red Crescent donated 15,000 in response to the Cyclone Harold in April 2020.
