Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu paid a visit to Japan on 26-27 September 2022.

On 26 September 2022, Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa of Japan in Tokyo, and discussed our bilateral relations, Ukraine and the other regional developments.

On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu met with media respresentatives at Japan National Press Club, and with Tsugio Mitsuoka, President of Türkiye-Japan Business Council.

On 27 September 2022, Minister Çavuşoğlu attended the state funeral in Tokyo for the late Prime Minister Abe Shinzo.
