Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Hikmet Hajiyev, Head of Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan in İstanbul on 18 June 2019.

Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that we would stand by friendly and brotherly Azerbaijan always and in every issue and that we would strengthen our relations in all fields.

On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu met also with Former President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed of Somalia.

Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that we were working together towards building friendly Somalia’s future.

Later that day, Minister Çavuşoğlu attended the Union and Solidarity Feast organized by the World Union of Ahiska Turks.

Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that from Ahiska Turks to Gagauz Turks, from Crimean Tatars to Uighurs; we are further strengthening our ties with all sister communites in Central Asia and the Caucasus.
