Relations between Türkiye and the Principality of Monaco

Consular and diplomatic relations between the Republic of Türkiye and the Principality of Monaco were established in 1954 and 2008, respectively. The Turkish Embassy in Paris is accredited to Monaco.

Bilateral relations are mainly carries out within the framework of Turkish citizens residing in Monaco, our economic ties and cooperation in international organizations, while consular relations are conducted by mutually appointed Honorary Consuls and Turkish Consulate General in Marseille.

Prince of Monaco, His Serene Highness Albert II visited Türkiye on the occasion of the 38th International Mediterranean Scientific Research Commission Congress held in Istanbul on 9-13 April 2007 and the 5th World Water Forum held in Istanbul in March 2009.

Prince Albert the II also paid an official visit to Türkiye on 5-7 November 2012, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, then-Prime Minister, visited Monaco on 1-2 March 2006 to attend the 10th European Credit Conference organized by Citigroup.

The then State Minister Serge Telle, representing Monaco, attended the World Humanitarian Summit held in Istanbul on 23-24 May 2016.
