Relations between Türkiye and Grenada have been limited due to geographical distance and different foreign policy priorities of both countries. The outreach policy of Türkiye towards Latin America and the Caribbean region has gained momentum in recent years and increasing attention has been paid to the region. Opening of new Embassies in the region, development and technical cooperation projects carried out by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and increased institutional relations with regional organizations have contributed to the development of our bilateral relations with Grenada as well.

The Embassy of Türkiye in Port of Spain is accredited to Grenada.

Türkiye and Grenada support each other's candidacy in international forums to the extent possible, particularly for candidacies in the UN and its subsidiary bodies.

In 2008, Former President of Grenada H.E. Tillman Thomas and Former President H.E. Abdullah Gül came together on the occasion of the 63rd UN General Assembly.

In 2006, Türkiye has provided the Government of Grenada 15.000 USD as a financial aid in order to contribute to the reconstruction of the country following the Ivan hurricane. In 2007, a further 100.000 USD was provided by TIKA Assistance Fund in order to reconstruct Calliste Government School, which was harmed by the hurricane.

The Former Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Ahmet Davutoğlu attended the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Summit held in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on 9-10 March 2014 and on this occasion held a bilateral meeting with the Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Grenada H.E. Nickolas Steele.

The trade volume between the two countries was approximately 910 thousand USD by the end of 2019.
