We welcome the agreement signed on 23 December 2013 on the status of South Yemen that constitutes one of the primary issues in the National Dialog Conference as part of the political transition process in Yemen.

In the upcoming period, the drafting of a democratic constitution and an electoral legislation, in accordance with the conclusions of the National Dialog Conference, that ensure fundamental human rights and freedoms, and the holding of free, fair and democratic elections in brotherly Yemen will reinforce the political integrity and stability of the country.

We reiterate our strong support to the national unity, territorial integrity, stability and development of Yemen, with which we have deep historical and brotherly ties and express our hope that the commitment and contribution by all parties, as well as the Yemeni government to the transition process will continue.
