No: 345, 28 December 2013, Press Release Regarding our Citizens Evacuated from South Sudan.

The aircraft belonging to the Turkish Air Force sent to Juba, the capital of South Sudan yesterday (December 27) to evacuate our citizens who wished to be repatriated because of the recent incidents in the Republic of South Sudan landed in Ankara Esenboğa Airport last night at 00:50 am with 21 Turkish citizens on board.

We hope that the troubled times are over for our repatriated citizens.

Turkey, which will keep closely monitoring the developments in South Sudan will also continue taking every precaution for the safety of our cizitens. In this context, the Turkish Embassy in Juba, in the Republic of South Sudan, keeps operating.

Moreover Turkey, in line with the stance it has taken since the independence of South Sudan, will continue to provide every support and to do its part in cooperation with the international community for the country's development and the attainment of security and stability.
