We strongly condemn the suicide attack perpetrated on 22 December at a military checkpoint in Benghazi, which resulted in the death of thirteen soldiers and the injury of three.

We wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in the attacks, convey our condolences to their bereaved families and hope for a speedy recovery of the wounded.

We hope that those responsible for the attack will be swiftly arrested and will answer before justice.

Turkey, standing by the friendly and brotherly people of Libya since the first days of the Revolution, will continue to provide every kind of support to Libya for the establishment of an environment of peace and stability.
