No: 288, 13 December 2012, Press Release Regarding the 27th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC)

The 27th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) will be held in Istanbul on 15 December 2012 with the participation of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the member States of BSEC and the representatives of the Observer and Sectoral Dialogue Partner States and organizations.

At the Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, which will be hosted by H.E. Mr. Ahmet Davutoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, it is envisaged that the results of the activities realized within the framework of Turkey’s Chairmanship-in-Office of BSEC will be evaluated and views on current global and regional issues will be exchanged.

The New Economic Agenda Document, adopted at the 20th Anniversary Summit Meeting of the Heads of State and Government of the member States of BSEC held in İstanbul on 26 June 2012 and comprising the 2020 vision of the Organization for the Black Sea in several areas including trade, transportation, energy, communication, science and technology, tourism and education will also be discussed during the Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs.

On the occasion of the Meeting of the Council of Ministers, Chairmanship-in-Office of BSEC assumed by Turkey as of 1 July 2012 for a period of six months will be transferred to Ukraine.
