The attack on El Kebir mosque in the village of Salfit in the West Bank by a group of extremist settlers in the morning of 11 December 2009 has raised deep concern.

We condemn this attack aimed at a sacred site of the religion of Islam, and call upon Israel to take the necessary measures to avoid repetition of such attacks that would cause even higher tensions and bring those responsible to justice urgently.
