We have learned with sorrow that a fire, which broke out today (16 July) at an orphanage in the Mohammadia district of Algiers, the capital city of Algeria, claimed the lives of many people, most of whom were children, and injured many others.

We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, and extend our condolences to their families and to the people of Algeria.
