We strongly condemn the terrorist attack perpetrated against a police vehicle in the village of Al Eker in Bahrain on 9 April 2012, injuring 7 police officers, three of them seriously. We wish a speedy recovery to the Bahraini security officers injured in this attack.

On this occasion, we reaffirm, once again, the importance we attribute to the necessity of the reform process initiated in Bahrain and, to this end, we expect that a genuine dialogue process will be launched and necessary steps will be taken immediately, in accordance with the recommendations of the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry.
