Travel Regulations for Montenegro

There is a Visa Exemption Agreement between Türkiye and Montenegro.

Within this framework, diplomatic, special, service and ordinary passport holders who are citizens of Türkiye and Montenegro can enter each other's country without a visa for a period not exceeding 90 days from the first entry date within every six months or for transit purposes.

Upon entry to Montenegro by highway, it is possible to travel for touristic or transit purposes within 180 days up to 90 days with an ordinary passport valid for at least 6 months.

There is no obligation to present a PCR test or vaccination certificate while entering Montenegro.

Although mutual visa exemption has been provided, due to the fact that Montenegro is in the EU candidacy process and has a border with EU countries (Croatia), border guards can also act cautiously and prescriptively to our citizens from time to time within the scope of people coming from outside the EU. In order for our citizens not to encounter problems in entering the country, it is highly recommended that they should keep a reasonable amount of foreign currency proportional to the time they plan to stay in the country, present their accommodation information or hotel reservations, present their return tickets, and take care to clearly explain their travel purposes to the officials.
