High-level Comprehensive Midterm Review of the Implementation of the İstanbul Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries

High-level Comprehensive Midterm Review of the Implementation of the İstanbul Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) was held in Antalya on 27-29 May 2016. At the meeting, the İstanbul Programme of Action, which was adopted at the Fourth UN Conference on the LDCs held in İstanbul in 2011, was reviewed. By increasing its official development assistance, Turkey has strengthened its role as a development partner.

Speaking at the opening session of the meeting, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu underlined that it is a moral obligation to seek solutions to the problems of the LDCs, and that Turkey is committed to fulfill its responsibilities. In the margins of the meeting, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu also held bilateral talks.
