Board, liquid restrictions have been implemented on all domestic and
international flights as of 1 April 2012 (1 March 2012 for Atatürk Airport

Pre-Flight Information
For Your Personal Safety:
Always keep your bags and other personal belongings with you. Never accept
packages from strangers. Do not leave your luggage and bags unattended, even
for a short time. Remember that unattended packages shall be destroyed by
security personnel. Avoid making jokes about terrorism, bombs, or weapons.
Remember that it may be misunderstood. Electronic devices such as laptops
and mobile phones may also be subject to x-ray screening and may be required
to be turned on or off for inspection by security personnel.
To Avoid Wasting Time at Security Checkpoints:
-
Due to enhanced security measures, carrying sharp, piercing,
flammable, or explosive materials is prohibited for flight safety.
Items such as nail clippers, knives, and deodorants must be placed
in checked baggage.
-
To avoid delays, place these items in your checked luggage before
arriving at security checkpoints.
-
While waiting in line, get prepared by removing metal objects
(watches, belts, pens, coins, etc.) and placing them on the X-ray
belt without waiting for instructions from security staff.
-
Do not argue with security personnel and cooperate with them during
inspections of hard-to-detect items in your bag.
Using Mobile Phones:
-
Mobile phones can interfere with aircraft navigation systems and
pose a flight safety risk. Therefore, for safety reasons, they must
remain completely turned off from the moment you leave the terminal
to board the aircraft until you enter the arrival terminal.
-
Putting your phone on silent mode or refraining from calls does not
eliminate the risk.
Effects of Electronic Devices on Aircraft:
-
For flight safety, the use of portable radios, cassette/CD players,
electronic games, laptops, and similar electronic devices is
prohibited during take-off, landing, and whenever the seatbelt sign
is illuminated.
-
Throughout the flight, radio and TV receivers, mobile phones,
walkie-talkies, remote-controlled toys, and any devices emitting
magnetic waves are prohibited, as they may may cause the deletion
of critical flight data recorded in the aircraft’s computers.
-
Passengers are not permitted to bring personal oxygen cylinders on
board, as most aircraft are equipped with certified medical oxygen
tanks.
