Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu attended the Brussels Conference on Afghanistan which was co-hosted by the EU and Afghanistan on 4-5 October 2016, and had various bilateral meetings in the margins of the conference. Turkey’s official development aid to Afghanistan between 2002-2015 has reached nearly 1 billion USD. In addition to its bilateral assistance to Afghanistan, Turkey also contributes to the efforts of the international community. In this context, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu announced Turkey’s development assistance pledge of 150 million USD to Afghanistan for the period of 2018-2020 at the Brussels Conference.
