A document of understanding on cooperation in the field of information technologies between Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan was signed by Ambassador Naci Koru, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey and Mr. Abdulhay Haidar, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan on 4 March 2013 in Ankara.

Turkish Foreign Ministry will share its information and expertise in the field of information technologies with Afghan Foreign Ministry within the framework of the signed document. It is aimed to strengthen the information infrastructure of the Afghan Foreign Ministry. In this context, Turkish Foreign Ministry will provide every kind of support which Afghan side needs.

Besides the cooperation in the field of information technologies Deputy Foreign Minister Koru and his Afghan counterpart also exchanged views on possible cooperation areas between the two countries.

We welcome the fact that this area of cooperation will add a new dimension to our already existing strong relations with Afghanistan.
