Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with Foreign Minister Ibrahim Al-Jaafari of Iraq on 4 May 2018.

At the meeting, current issues including cooperation against terrorism, Turkey’s efforts towards reconstruction of Iraq, and its pledge of USD 5 billion were discussed.

Minister Çavuşoğlu and his Iraqi counterpart Al-Jaafari also evaluated plans to open the second Turkey-Iraq border gate and to further increase bilateral trade.
