Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu accompanied President Erdoğan During His Visit to India, 1 May 2017

Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu accompanied President Erdoğan who paid a visit to India on 1 May 2017.

President Erdoğan was welcomed with an official ceremony by the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee.

Afterwards President Erdoğan laid a wreath to Gandhi Memorial.

During his visit President Erdoğan held a bilateral meeting with Indian President Mukherjee and received Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President Hamid Ansari. At these meetings bilateral relations& cooperation and regional/global developments were discussed.

A Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between Diplomatic Academies of Foreign Ministries of Turkey and India was signed by Foreign Ministers of the two countries.

Turkey-India Business Summit was held in NewDelhi with the participation of President Erdogan and Prime Minister of India Modi. President Erdogan also came togetger with CEOs of various companies in India.

Jamia Millia Islamia University of India bestowed honorary doctorate to President Erdoğan.

Turkish delegations left India following the dinner hosted by President Mukherjee in honor of President Erdoğan.
