Germany is one of the largest trade partners of our country. The bilateral trade volume between Türkiye and Germany reached 45 billion 177 million dollars (2022). Compared to 2021, exports increased by 8,67%; imports increased by 9,59% and our bilateral volume increased by 9,16%.

The main products exported from Türkiye to Germany: Clothing and accessories, land transportation vehicles, parts of internal combustion and piston engines; parts for land vehicles, textile fibers and products. The main products imported from Germany to Türkiye are automobiles, station wagons, racing cars; parts for land vehicles; therapeutic/protective medications (dosed); electrical machinery and devices.

According to Central Bank data, Germany made an international direct investment (FDI) of approximately 11 billion 147 million dollars to Türkiye in the 2005-2022 period. In the same period, the total of Turkish investments in Germany was 3 billion 400 million dollars.

There are about 80 thousand Turkish-German enterprises operating in Germany. Their annual turnover amounts to approximately 52 billion Dollars and they employ almost 500 thousand people in 50 different sectors. There are 7,640 German companies operating in Türkiye.

In 2022, 5.679.194 German tourists visited Türkiye.
