The bilateral trade volume between Türkiye and Italy stood at 27.3 billion USD in 2023 (Turkish exports 12.4 billion USD; imports 14.9 billion USD).

Main items of Türkiye’s exports to Italy consist of passenger motor vehicles, motor vehicles for good transport, fresh or dried fruits; whilst main items of Türkiye’s imports from Italy are parts and accessories for motor vehicles, petroleum oils, yachts and other vessels.

The number of Italian firms operating in Türkiye exceeded 1500. They are engaged in various sectors such as transportation, banking, telecommunication, construction, electronics and pharmaceuticals. In the period of 2002-2023, total amount of direct investments from Italy to Türkiye is almost 5,45 billion USD. This figure is 602 million USD from Türkiye to Italy in the same period.

In 2023, around 600 thousand Italian tourists visited Türkiye.
