Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Centers
Yunus Emre Foundation is a public foundation, which was established by the
law dated 05.05.2007 and numbered 5653, in order to promote Türkiye, Turkish
language, its history, culture and art, to make such information and
documents available to all interested persons around the world, to provide
services abroad to those who want to learn Turkish language, culture and
art, improve friendship and increase cultural exchange between Türkiye and
other countries.
As an institution affiliated to the Foundation and in line with the
purposes of the aforementioned Law, Yunus Emre Ensitüsü is teaching Turkish
to foreigners in Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Centers abroad as well as
conducting cultural and art activities and supporting scientific
researches.
Since its foundation in 2009, Yunus Emre Enstitüsü today has 54 Yunus Emre
Turkish Cultural Centers in 43 coutries.
The establishment and activities of Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Centers are
supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Turkology Departments and Turkish Teaching Abroad
Yunus Emre Enstitüsü, through signing of protocols with educational
institutions in various countries, promotes Turkology departments and
Turkish language teaching abroad.
Furthermore, Turkish courses and Turkish Language and Literature
Departments of foreign universities are being supported by means of
providing teaching staff and educational material.
