No: 262, 30 November 2010, Press Release Regarding the Turkey-U.S. Consultations on Counter-Terrorism

Regular Turkey-U.S. consultations on counter-terrorism for which preparations have been long underway, will be held between the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the U.S. Department of State on November, 30 2010 in Ankara. The relevant Turkish institutions will also be represented at this meeting to be conducted through the coordination of Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ambassador Reha Keskintepe Director General for Security and Research will be the co-chair of the meeting. Ambassador Daniel Benjamin, Coordinator for Counterterrorism, the U.S. Department of State, is leading an interagency delegation including representatives of the Defense, Justice and Treasury Departments as well as other agencies. Consultations will focus on all relevant aspects of terrorism, including combating PKK and other terrorist organizations; and bilateral cooperation on counterterrorism issues between Turkey and the U.S.
