Turkey’s main exports to Iran: Automotive supply products, fiberboard, paper and paperboard, tobacco, zinc ores, nonwovens, hygienic towels and diapers.

Turkey’s main imports from Iran: Raw petroleum materials (before 2019 May), natural gas, plastics in primary forms, metals other than iron and organic chemicals.

Number of Iranian visitors: 2 million (2018), 2,1 million (2019), 23 thousand (2020)

Bilateral Cooperation Mechanisms:

- Joint Economic Commission (JEC): The last Session of JEC was held on 27-28 April 2021. (Video-Conference)

- Business Council: Turkey-Iran Business Council was established in 2001.

-Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA):

Negotiations on expanding the scope of the PTA, which was signed on 29 January 2014 and entered into force on 1 January 2015 are in progress.
