Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu accompanied Prime Minister Yıldırım during his visit to the US, 7-10 November 2017.

Within the margins of the visit, Prime Minister Yıldırım met with opinion leaders in Washington on November 8th.

Prime Minister Yıldırım visited Diyanet Center of America in Maryland on the same day and came together with members of Muslim community.

Prime Minister Yıldırım visited BAU International University as well.

Prime Minister Yıldırım met with Vice President Pence of the US on November 9 in Washington D. C. Turkish-US relations were discussed at the meeting.

Continuing his contacts in the US in New York, Prime Minister Yıldırım met with American Jewish community leaders. During the meeting Turkey’s determination to fight Islamophobia, antisemitism and all other hate crimes was reiterated.

Prime Minister Yıldırım also met with representatives of financial institutions, entrepreneurs and businessmen.

Prime Minister Yıldırım met with Secretary General of the UN Antonio Guterres in New York. At the meeting international community’s obligation to shoulder responsibility towards refugees, political solution in Syria, Rohingya Muslims, Cyprus, UN reform, Libya and Iraq were discussed.

On the last day of the visit, Prime Minister Yıldırım met with the leaders of US based Turkish and related communities in New York.
