Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu paid a visit to Cote d’Ivoire to attend the 44th session of Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, 10-11 July 2017

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu went to Abdidjan to attend the 44th session of Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) hosted by Cote d’Ivoire.

Minister Çavuşoğlu attended the opening session of the OIC 44th session of Council of Foreign Ministers held in Abidjan. At his statement During the 44th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers, Minister Çavuşoğlu underlined the importance Turkey attaches to an effective and active OIC as the Summit Chair.

Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Minister of State Al-Muraikhi of Qatar and with Foreign Minister Yildiz Pollack-Beighle of Suriname.

During his visit Minister Çavuşoğlu opened with Minister for Women, Child Welfare and Solidarity, Mariatou Koné, the Training Institute for Women restored and furbished by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency.

Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu attended the official dinner hosted for the participants of OIC 44th Council of Foreign Ministers.

Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu signed the Statute of OIC Labor Centre to be established in Baku. Turkey has been the first state to sign the said Statute.

Minister Çavuşoğlu informed the press about his contacts in Abidjan and replied questions on current agenda before departing to Liberia from Cote d'Ivoire.
