Turkey-Georgia-Azerbaijan Trilateral Summit held in Tbilisi

Turkey-Georgia-Azerbaijan Trilateral Summit was held in Tbilisi with the participation of President of Turkey, H.E. Abdullah Gül, President of Azerbaijan, H.E. İlham Aliyev and President of Georgia, H.E. Giorgi Margvelashvili on May 6, 2014.

Speaking at the opening of the Summit, President Gül underlined that Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan enjoy a multilateral and intense cooperation.

Pointing out that the three countries have carried out such huge projects as the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Pipeline, the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum Gas Pipeline and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway at the regional and global scale, President Gül drew attention that everyone appreciates the contributions made by all the three countries to the stability and prosperity in the southern Caucasus.

Within the framework of the Trilateral Summit, cooperation projects regarding the Caucasus was addressed, and steps that could be taken with a view to boosting trilateral cooperation which serves the common interests of the people of the region were discussed. Also, the Presidents exchanged views on current regional and international developments.

Within the framework of The Turkey-Georgia-Azerbaijan Presidential Trilateral Summit, the Presidents held a joint press conference following their meeting.
