Foreign Minister Ghandour of Sudan paid an official visit to Turkey on 26 October 2016. During the visit, which was an expression of the solidarity of the Government of Sudan after the coup attempt, our bilateral relations with Sudan that we regard as an important partner in Africa as well as regional issues were discussed. Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu and Foreign Minister Ghandour held a joint press conference after their meetings. In this context, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu expressed his thanks to Sudan for showing solidarity after the coup attempt as well as for taking measures in the fight against FETO.
