Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu paid a visit to USA between 17-20 January to attend various events held in Washington D.C. on the occasion of Donald J. Trump’s taking office as the 45th President of United States of America.

During the visit, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu met with US National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Secretary of Defense James Mattis and Secretary of Treasury Steven Mnuchin who will assume their duties in the new Administration. Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu also met with Speaker of the House of Representatives Paul Ryan and Governor of Wisconsin Scott Walker as well as other high ranking officials in the U.S. Administration.
