Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited Hungary on 21 December 2021 to attend the 6th Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Visegrad Group (V4-Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) + Türkiye.

Following the meeting in Budapest, a joint press conference was held.

Minister Çavuşoğlu noted that the V4-Türkiye relations were assessed, and the developments in Afghanistan and the Balkans, irregular migration and post-Covid situation were discussed as well.

Minister Çavuşoğlu added that we would develop our relations with V4 in all fields.

Minister Çavuşoğlu also met with his Hungarian counterpart Péter Szijjártó on the sidelines of the V4 + Türkiye meeting.

The two Ministers welcomed the close relations between Türkiye and Hungary, and affirmed their determination to further develop them in line with our strategic partnership.
