On 8 January 2019, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with Ambassador Juan Gonzalez-Barba of Spain and Ambassador Girma Temesgen Barkessa of Ethiopia.

At the meetings, bilateral relations were evaluated.

On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu also met with Joshua Setipa, the new Managing Director of the UN Technology Bank for the Least Developed Countries (LDCs).

Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that Turkey gives assistance to LDCs and believes that the Technology Bank will make significant contributions to their development.
