Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with Foreign Minister Alexandra Hill of El Salvador on 20 August 2019.

At the meeting, bilateral relations and our cooperation with Central America were discussed.

Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that we were pleased by El Salvador’s decision to open an Embassy in Ankara. Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that we were ready to enhance our bilateral relations, especially trade.

Following the meeting, the two Ministers held a joint press conference.

On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu met also with Annas Abdah, President of Syrian National Coalition and members of the Presidential Committee and congratulated them for their election.

Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that our support to the Coalition would continue and that we were working to preserve Idlib’s status and stop attacks. Minister Çavuşoğlu stressed that finding a political solution to the Syrian crisis was our top priority.
