Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu accompanying President Erdoğan during his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, 8-9 July 2019

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu is accompanying President Erdoğan who is paying an official visit to Sarajevo to attend the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) and Summit on 8-9 July 2019.

On 8 July 2019 Minister Çavuşoğlu attended SEECP Foreign Ministers meeting.

Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that consolidating peace and stability in Balkans was Turkey’s priority. Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that as a founding participant of SEECP, Turkey would once again assume Chairmanship-in-Office for the period 2020-2021 and that Turkey would prioritize migration, intra-regional transport connectivity and prevention of brain drain.

On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu also met with Valentin Inzko, High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that Turkey’s support for the Office of the High Representative would continue.
