On 28 January 2019 Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with Agnes Callamard, UN Special Rapporteur on Extra-Judicial Executions, who is in Turkey to investigate the murder of Jamal Khashoggi.

On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu also met with Geir O. Pedersen, UN Special Envoy for Syria.

At the meeting, recent developments on the Syrian issue were evaluated.
