After a fruitful visit to Russia accompanying President Erdoğan, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited Belarus to hold bilateral meetings on 27-28 August 2019.

On 27 August 2019 Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Turkish citizens and business people living in Belarus.

Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that Turkish business people made a considerable contribution to our bilateral relations with their investments and their commercial endeavors.

On 28 August 2019 Minister Çavuşoğlu was received by President Aleksandr Lukashenko of Belarus.

Minister Çavuşoğlu, who conveyed greetings of President Erdogan, stated that we had excellent relations with Belarus and that this visit would further enhance our relations.

On the same day Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Vladimir Makei, Foreign Minister of Belarus.

At the meeting, our bilateral relations and regional issues were evaluated and trade, tourism, culture, education, science and defense industry issues were discussed. The “Trade Working Group” was established to further develop our economic relations.
