Turkey has been strictly implementing the Montreux Convention regarding the Turkish Straits for 78 years. The allegations in the media referring to the RF Foreign Minister on the implementation of the Montreux Convention do not reflect the truth at all.

The Ministry has in fact given the necessary response to these allegations communicated by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Ankara to the Ministry as well.
