Prime Minister of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan paid a working visit to Azerbaijan on April 4, 2014.

Prime Minister Erdoğan and President of Azerbaijan, H.E. İlham Aliyev had tete-a-tete meeting and co-chaired the meetings between the delegations. During the meetings, bilateral relations and cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan as well as international and regional developments of mutual concern were discussed.

Speaking at the joint press conference that was held after the meetings, Prime Minister Erdoğan stated that they had the opportunity to review bilateral relations and regional developments and that the solidarity between Azerbaijan and Turkey will continue strongly in the future.

President of Azerbaijan Aliyev stated that the relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan are based on friendship and brotherhood, that they have reviewed the aspects that bind two countries and emphasized that this visit will make a positive contribution to the bilateral relations.
